Ideal for small gardens.
Small weeping tree with long pendulous branches of glossy, semi-evergreen foliage. Heads of small white flowers during June slowly turn to bunches of deep red Autumn berries. Good for smaller gardens, mixed borders or as a lawn specimen.
Head and Spread in 20 years: 2m x 2m (7ft x 7ft)
Soil: Any well drained type.
Planting and Aftercare:
1. Water pot thoroughly and allow to drain.
2. If planting in a lawn, remove a circle of turf 60cm (24in) across.
3. Dig a hole twice the size of the pot and fork over the base, incorporating a handful of general fertilizer and a bucketful of planting compost.
4. Drive in tree stake a little off-centre.
5. REMOVE POT and tease out any matted roots.
6. Position tree against stake with top of root ball level with surrounding soil.
7. Replace remaining soil, firming-in well.
8. Secure tree to stake with adjustable strap.
9. Water thoroughly, then at least once a week during the first growing season.
10. Apply some general fertilizer every Spring.
